Aside from kitchenette appliances, the assisted living apartments at Mirabelle do not come furnished. Our senior living community is designed to be reminiscent of home, and we encourage residents to bring their own belongings, including a bed and smaller pieces of furniture. In most cases, only the medical component of assisted living costs is deductible. Living costs like room and board are not tax deductible.
