Join us in celebrating the 98th birthday of Rose Berman, a resident of Arbor Terrace of East Cobb!
Rose Lee Reisman was born on Aug. 6, 1922, in Atlanta, Ga. At age 20, in the middle of World War II, she married Elliott Berman.
Berman devoted herself to her family as a loving wife, mother and homemaker. She raised a son, Gordon, and has two granddaughters and three great-grandchildren. A year before her husband passed away in 2013 at age 91, Rose and Elliott celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary.
With a sparkle in her eyes, Berman said she is “too young” to remember the Great Depression. But she is amazed by today’s technology, especially the advent of video phone calls. Her secret to longevity: “Eat good food and treat everyone with respect!”
“Rose is such a sweet lady,” said Shirlene Smalls, Engagement director at the community. “It’s a pleasure to have her as part of our Arbor Terrace of East Cobb family. We can’t wait to celebrate her next birthday and the many more to follow!”
