Some of the most important work in a senior living community happens quietly. At Arbor Terrace Highland Park, a lot of that work belongs to Lilly Garcia.
Lilly is an environmental services professional here, and she is now a national Cintas C.A.P.E. Award winner. The team at Cintas came out to celebrate her and brought a video crew with them.
The C.A.P.E. Award recognizes environmental services professionals who keep senior living and healthcare communities clean and safe, often out of the spotlight. Lilly was nominated by Christopher Dale, executive director, and she had no idea until it was announced.
"We can teach you the Arbor way of doing things," Christopher says in the video. "You've got skills, you have some experience, but the one thing we don't teach is how to care."
Lilly says it her own way: "When you do your job with patience and love, many blessings come into your life."
Before the C.A.P.E. Award, Lilly was named the 2024 Arbor Star of the Year, chosen from more than 100 team members. Congratulations, Lilly, and thank you for the care you bring to this community every day.
