A year ago, my husband became someone we didn’t recognize. Dementia made its presence known and fear, confusion and hopelessness became part of our families’ life. Arbor Terrace staff reached out to us with open arms, loving support and much-needed information. Now my husband is surrounded by people he knows and trusts, lives in a safe environment and understands the reality of dementia. We are so grateful for your loving support.

My two sisters and I lovingly refer to our mother as the “Queen Mother”! She was a tremendous wife and mother and we always say she deserves the “Royal Treatment”!!! Arbor Terrace has proven to be a place that showers their residents with exactly that. It is such a comfort knowing that our sweet mother is lovingly and compassionately cared for. When I interviewed Arbor Terrace as a place for her care they expressed their confidence that we would see improvement in her and I was a bit skeptical, yet, we have seen improvements in her overall cognitive skills and are greatly appreciative.

Is there a more difficult decision for anyone to have to make than the one of where to move your parent when they need a care facility? I think not. For my brother and me it was very emotional and scary to take our Mom out of her home of almost 60 years. The obvious things you look for of course are quality of care, safety, and meeting medical needs. The other more subtle things that mattered to us were a beautiful, clean, no smell home that all family and guests would be comfortable visiting and want to stay to be with her. Arbor Terrace has exceeded every hope and requirement that we had. The staff is so caring and loving that it feels like we are all friends, even extended family with the same goal of making our Mom happy and comfortable. I feel very lucky to have found this beautiful facility with this caring staff to make this time in our Moms journey better than we had dared hope for.
