iPad Learning

Each month, the Engagement team at The Vantage of Cityview offers residents an iPad training class. During the ongoing pandemic, retailers have been encouraging shoppers to purchase online holiday gifts early to avoid out of stock items and shipping delays. With the holidays fast approaching, residents quickly signed up for the community’s October class.

On Wednesday, Oct. 7, residents arrived eager to learn digital technology.

"Too many of us have these things, and not enough of us know how to work them. I think it's wonderful they're teaching us!" said resident Barbara Clarkin, with a sense of relief.

The class size is kept small to provide residents with one-on-one learning opportunities if needed.

"This iPad class is great! We have no way of knowing how to do this stuff otherwise. It's a wonderful thing they do. I'm thrilled to death!” said resident Carlene Dennis. Dennis learned how to shop online using popular retail websites, select shipping options and how to keep her financial information safe.

"I'm glad they're having the class,” said resident Frances Bursey. “That way, I don't have to chase everyone down to do it for me!”
