Restore, recharge, and recover with our Respite and Day Stay programs. At Arbor, we believe in meeting seniors and their loved ones where they are. Sometimes caregivers need a break, and sometimes seniors need a little support to recover from sudden injuries and health setbacks. We’re thrilled to open our doors and hearts to an expanding community of seniors through two unique programs.
Respite Care: Recover in Style
Sometimes life deals an unpleasant blow. Whether it’s a fall, a recent surgery, or an unexpected illness, you might need some help to recover. A supportive, safe environment can help you recover more quickly. At Arbor, we offer exceptional care in a thriving community filled with activities, socials, and fun.
We believe that nurturing your spirit nurtures your body, too. So we treat your respite stay as a chance to learn new things, meet new people, and actually enjoy the process of recovery. You won’t have to worry about things like cleaning the house, mowing the lawn, or navigating stairs. We free your mind and eliminate the drudgery of chores so you can devote yourself to getting better.
Respite care reduces the risk of rehospitalization. That saves you time, frustration, and money. It may even save your life. So invest in your long-term health by enjoying a short-term stay at one of our respite communities. For seniors considering a switch to a senior living community, respite care is also a great way to evaluate the community.
Respite care may be right for you if:
You’re dealing with an acute (short-term) serious injury.
You need help with daily tasks, but don’t want in-home nursing care.
You’re struggling to remain independent, but are likely to get better with the right help.
Recovering at home feels isolating or scary.
Day Stay: Caregiver Health Matters, Too
Caregivers face unbelievable pressure to do it all with no break, without complaining, and to an unachievable standard of perfection. Caregiver depression and burnout are common. Many caregivers also struggle with chronic health conditions related to the stress of caregiving. If you can’t take care of yourself, you definitely can’t take care of your loved one.
Sadly, many caregivers believe that asking for help is akin to giving up. They worry about low-quality care or about their loved one feeling abandoned. Our Day Stay program offers the perfect solution. We care for your loved one in a warm, welcoming environment filled with meaningful activities, exceptional music, fine dining, and a sense of community. You get the break you need, knowing that your loved one is in caring hands.
No caregiver can do it all alone. We’re the extra pair of hands you’ve been too afraid to ask for.
Day Stay might be right for you if:
Your loved one is lonely and needs socialization.
Your loved one can’t be left alone.
You work outside of the home but your loved one needs you most of the day.
You don’t have help from loved ones.
You’re suffering from depression or caregiver burnout.
You’re planning a vacation to recharge from your caregiving duties.
