Barrington Terrace of Fort Myers families - Our community is operating as normal.

If your loved one evacuated, they are welcome to return at any time.
 
Our phones are now working and you can call the community directly at  239-334-2500

We are thankful for the efforts of our staff and the patience of our residents as we weathered the storm together.

We expect this to be the last message to you related to Hurricane Irma.

Monday, Sept. 11, 9:30 p.m. EST

 

Power has been restored at Barrington Terrace of Fort Myers and all residents are settling in.

If you live in the area and are able to pick up your loved one, please do so as soon as possible. This will help our team focus on residents who do not have family members in the area while working to get the community back to normal operation.

Monday, Sept. 11, 8:00 p.m. EST

All Barrington Terrace of Fort Myers residents have been safely moved back into the community.
 
There is no power in the building.
 
If you live in the area and are able to pick up you loved one, please do so as soon as possible.
 
This will help our team focus on residents who do not have family members in the area while working to get the community back to normal operation.

Monday, Sept. 11, 3:45 p.m. EST

We are starting the process of moving residents from Cypress Pointe back to Barrington Terrace of Fort Myers via bus. If you would prefer to move your loved one yourself, please do so within the next hour.

We will update you once everyone is safely back to Barrington Terrace.

Monday, Sept. 11, 11:30 a.m. EST

Residents and staff from Barrington Terrace of Fort Myers are still safe.
 
We were able to survey the building early Monday morning and we are working on plans to get the staff and residents back in the building.
 
We will continue to provide updates as needed.

Sunday, Sept. 10, 7:00 p.m. EST

All Barrington Terrace of Fort Myers residents and staff are still doing well this evening at our temporary location, Cypress Point Senior Living. We have been in text communication with Teresa Keating, our executive director.
 
We do not have information about the Barrington Terrace of Fort Myers building yet. It will probably be late Monday before we can assess the situation.

Sunday, Sept. 10, 9:30 a.m. EST

All Barrington Terrace of Fort Myers residents and staff are doing well this morning. Everyone is at our temporary location, Cypress Point Senior Living in Fort Myers. Residents are up and being served breakfast.

Saturday, Sept. 9, 2:30 p.m. EST

In preparation for Hurricane Irma, all residents and on-site staff have been safely relocated to:
Cypress Point Senior Living, 6870 Alister Way, Ft. Myers, FL 33912
 
Our staff is staying with us at Cypress Point through the storm and will continue to care for our residents. We have also brought all of the items we need, including medical supplies, to Cypress Point for this temporary relocation.
 
We have set up a hurricane hotline where you can leave a voice message for a return call with our team. The hurricane hotline number is 888-792-2221 / Press 6. Please make note of this number in case you need to reach the community during or after the storm and the phone lines are down.
