We all have stories about those moments that helped shape us into the people we are and where we choose to go in life. For Brandt and Jenny Ross, the story of their marriage started with what in today’s dollars would be the rough equivalent of $2,500 in cookware.
Brandt, an evening cookware salesman, was peddling wares in his free time to put himself through college and support his love of folk singing. One day, he knocked on the door of Jenny’s apartment, and his life was truly forever changed.
Listening to Brandt and Jenny retell how they met and eventually fell in love is just one of the stories that makes living at the Renaissance on Peachtree special. Just as Jenny spends her time hand-crafting individual birthday cards for each community member, everyone in the Renaissance family has something unique to give.
As Jenny puts it, “this community is the farthest thing from an ‘old folks home.’” The Renaissance is renowned for its beautiful surroundings, but the people are what make it special. For Brandt and Jenny, the choice to move to an independent senior community allowed them to “enjoy the senior experience”—basking in the freedom of retirement and making new friends.
