My mother is in memory care. It's an updated place, the living room area, the, the dining area, and they have more care here also. That's what we like about it. I mean, the whole staff helps here. It's not just the care. It's the sales. I mean, they all partake. You know? It's kind of a welcoming atmosphere here. The ratio upstairs for in the memory care unit is definitely a lot more help, a lot more hands on, as well should be.
They need it. You know? And, yeah, I feel safe and secure with her there. I feel good when I walk away from there.
Tamika over in memory care, oh my word. If somebody's not wanting to do something, she encourages them to do it, and she gets her to do it. And my mom has participated in, like, bingo. She likes to do crafts, and, you know, they've taken her out with a group a few times. When we first came here, one of the residents said to me, Karen, your parents are gonna be fine. They'll do what they wanna do, and they'll be encouraged to participate. So don't feel like they'll be just, you know, pushed aside. And I see that as really true.
I would suggest anybody. I mean, I would say come here because you can move into memory care if my mother started in assisted living for a year, then she moved to memory care. She's ninety five years old, and, we needed that jump. You'll know when the time is right. If you don't wanna have them move in with you and you wanna have them move into an assisted living place, they're around their peers and they're able to have activities. And at this place, the food is really terrific. I mean, you know, for these older folks. It's a lot of fresh fruit, vegetables, and they get taken care of here.
