Assisted Living
My Mother has been a resident at Arbor Terrace of Acworth for almost a year and a half. We have been so pleased with the love and care shown her on a daily basis, but I feel compelled to shout to the roof about how exceptional Chantease Braxton, Resident RN, has been since joining the Arbor team. Chantease has consistently gone above and beyond to ensure my Mother (and many others) are lovingly cared for; many times staying much longer than she should just to be sure all their needs are met.
The care, staff, and social activities have brought joy and purpose for Mom. Thanks to Activities Leaders Lauren, TJ, and staff for wonderful trips, opportunities for mental stimulation, and the weekly lunch outings. Lynette, the Director, has been very active in Mom’s care for the past year, responding to our concerns and providing updates. Our family believes Mom deserves the best during this season of her life. And we believe she is getting the best care at Arbor Terrace.
My dad is a resident, and we have been impressed with the level of care he’s been shown. From the front staff like Jennie and Natasha who always have a warm and welcoming greeting and true compassion for their resident friends, to the kitchen where Ms. Sherron and Chef D prepare special meals just for him! I’m blessed by all of them and am comforted by the level of care he receives! My dad is my heart.
Bridges
Considering a transition to assisted living for my mother. I am extremely impressed with Arbor Terrace Acworth. It is a beautiful facility, by far the best I’ve seen in the area. There is really a focus on cognitive care, RE: Bridges program for the early stages of Dementia. Missy, Lynette and Ashley have been very accommodating, patient and understanding through this difficult process.
My mom joined the community at Arbor Terrace recently. She was very opposed to moving. The staff made a difficult transition as smooth as it possibly could have been. When my mom arrived, a literal red carpet was out for her, with velvet ropes, a welcome sign, and a big group of staff members with smiles and hugs! She loves her apartment, which is beautiful and light and very comfortable and safe. Everyone on the staff has gone out of their way to make my mom feel like part of the family.
I found the Arbor Terrace Acworth facility, care plans, and activities… to be exceptionally supportive, professional, and helpful.
Memory Care
My mom was in Evergreen memory care at Arbor Terrace Acworth for 9 months. The staff there truly cared for her while she was there and made every effort to make her as happy as she could be. They are a dedicated group with a special calling, and I want to thank all of them for their loving care and support during her time there. I also want to commend Lynette (Director) and Sharon (Memory Care Director), who were always responsive and available to help me navigate my mom’s care.
We just moved my mom into memory care, and everyone on staff at Arbor Terrace — from Missy who showed us around when we toured, to Ashley who helped wrangle all the paperwork, to Sharon who walked me through how best to help Mom adjust — made it so much easier to hand over the reins to folks I trust. I trust the staff I met will take excellent care of my mom and keep her engaged with her new neighbors.
All the staff members of Arbor Terrace have gone above and beyond my expectations in caring for my mother with dementia. When I first arrived to tour their memory care facility, I was in crisis mode, as my mother’s condition was rapidly worsening and could no longer be managed at home. Ashley Lutes showed me kindness and warmth as though she were a family member herself, and introduced me to equally welcoming staff members Sharon Durr and Rebecca Merriman. Without a doubt, this was one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to do — but this beautiful facility and exceptional staff have given me and my family a sense of assurance that we made the best decision.
