We have exciting news about one of our very own Arbor team members. Jessica Hernandez, Resident Care Director at Arbor Terrace Hamilton Mill, was chosen as a Hero Award winner at the 2022 GSLA conference.
Jessica started with Arbor Terrace Hamilton Mill in 2015 as a wellness nurse. She has worked diligently alongside the Executive Director, Resident Care Director, her peers, and our care team to ensure the safety and care of our residents. She has coached, counseled, and listened to her team and family members who were struggling with the pandemic.
Jessica is always finding ways to show appreciation and fun for the residents and her team. Even when she was working to cover open positions and performing resident care duties, dispensing medications, and washing laundry. To say Jessica is a team player is an understatement.
Jessica’s hard work and dedication earned her a well-deserved promotion in 2022 to Resident Care Director. She is always ready to help a team member, meet with family and address any questions or concerns that may arise. On top of all of her daily duties, nothing will stop her from stopping to talk with a resident. Jessica is a student, police officer’s wife, mother of three, and caregiver for extended family members, and she gives 100% every day. Jessica is a true hero consistently, authentically, and humbly, and we are proud to call her a teammate and friend.
