More Affordable Than You May Think

Senior living is likely much more affordable than you may think. When you take into consideration your current mortgage, utility bills, landscaping or other home-maintenance costs, and other fees you pay to attend your favorite activities or go out to eat, senior living often costs less monthly — and gets you access to so much more! Let us help you discover additional programs, such as veteran’s benefits, that could help offset assisted living and dementia care costs.

Getting Started FAQs

How are you prepared for COVID-19?

We are focused on everyone’s safety, and have processes and procedures in place to limit exposure and keep the community clean and sanitized. You can read more about our company’s approach to COVID-19 on our coronavirus information page

Please note that the other frequently asked questions on this page were written in a time before the COVID-19 pandemic. We left them here for you so that you can learn about our community under normal circumstances. Some of our procedures have changed in the name of safety due to the pandemic. We will be sure to tell you about how we’re keeping everyone safe when you join us for a virtual tour.

I don’t know anyone who lives in your community. How can I make new friends?

There are always friendly faces at Arbor Terrace! Our residents tend to become fast friends, and you can meet new friends easily. Try joining one of our community clubs, attending a social program, or simply saying hello to a few new people you see in the halls.

How do I know which type of senior living is best for me?

We’d love to help guide you through that decision. Our team can learn more about you and any challenges or worries you may have before you decide to move. We have years of experience and can confidently lead you in the direction of the senior living option that is best for you.

Arbor Terrace offers three types of senior living options on one campus: assisted living, a Bridges neighborhood, and dementia care. No matter where you live, you will enjoy the amenities, the activities, and the Arbor Terrace lifestyle, including personalized care and deep connections with those around you. Our assisted living, Bridges neighborhood, and dementia care solutions offer more specialized care and additional assistance, which is ideal if you could benefit from easy access to caregivers, or are living with Alzheimer’s disease or other types of dementia.

I’m a bit shy. Do I have to attend group activities?

At Arbor Terrace, you always get to make your own decisions! We know everyone has unique personalities and preferences, and our team works hard to develop opportunities everyone will enjoy. You may choose to skip out on large group activities but participate in a lecture or book club. If you don’t see something that interests you, tell us! We are always looking for new ideas.

How do I schedule a tour?

We’d love to meet you and show you what life is like inside Arbor Terrace of East Cobb! Call our team to schedule a tour or to set up a time to join in on an activity or a meal. We would love to introduce you to some of the residents and staff that make Arbor Terrace so special.

I have a special diet. Can I still eat in the dining room?

Our chefs are trained and prepared to offer a variety of entree options for any diet. Our dining team strives to cook healthy meals with very little added sugar and no added salt — but with plenty of flavor! We cater to many different tastes and dietary needs, and will work hard to help you meet your health goals.

Is there a buy-in fee?

You won’t have to worry about a buy-in fee when you choose Arbor Terrace. Instead, you pay for the services you need when you need them, month by month.

Can I come and go as I please?

Absolutely! You can head out to meet your friends at a favorite restaurant or attend a family dinner. For the safety of our dementia care residents, our Evergreen neighborhood is secured. Residents can still go out, but need to be accompanied by a staff member, family member, or friend.

Are meals included?

Assisted living, Bridges neighborhood, and dementia care services feature three chef-prepared meals each day in our social dining room so that you can enjoy meals with your friends and neighbors. Want to share your meal experience with family members or friends? We’d love to serve them as well. You can order guest meals for your visitors to enjoy in the dining room as well.

I appreciate that they [Arbor Terrace] are so caring. They are so dedicated to the families. I can go on for days on what they did for us and my mother. We had a long weekend and she passed away on a Monday. We were waiting for the funeral home to come and we were there for several hours. I watched all these people who had worked with her for years come in and pay respect to her when she had passed away. They were so professional but they showed that respect. You can't pay people to do that, it is just real caring. I was amazed.

I value that Arbor Terrace works very hard to address the frustrations, loneliness and boredom of being old. I appreciate that and see it in so many ways. They continue to keep trying.

Jane S. Family Member

I’m very comfortable with the staff and the care she gets. I feel like the trust is there. I value that she is safe and secure. She and I have been friends for 36 years, and this has been extremely difficult for me to have to move her to Alzheimer’s care. About 13 months after I moved my friend into the Bridges neighborhood, I moved my mother into the assisted living.

Caroline M. Family Member

I appreciate the communication that goes on between the staff, the director and nurses regarding my aunt. All of the aides they have are wonderful and give her the care that she needs.

Family Member

Everyone was extremely helpful (during our move) and they still are. We are extremely satisfied with the care at Arbor Terrace.

Family Member

We moved our mother into the Evergreen (memory care) neighborhood at Arbor Terrace from another local community. She is a new person, much happier, and all of our stress levels have dropped dramatically.

Your employees are your very best asset! We are so pleased with everything about Arbor Terrace!
