We’re excited to share that Arbor Terrace Fulton has achieved the LEED Silver Certification for sustainable and responsible design.

LEED, or Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design, is a globally recognized symbol of excellence in green building. LEED certification ensures electricity cost savings, lower carbon emissions, and healthier environments. The community was awarded the certification based on various factors, primarily reduced energy and water usage. The community uses 40% less than comparable buildings, which is largely attributed to low-flow plumbing fixtures that were carefully selected to provide comfort to residents as well as reduce water usage.

The community was also acknowledged for using a green roof, which helps manage stormwater on-site and also reduces the urban heat island effect.

“At Arbor Terrace Fulton, we’re committed to providing the best quality care to our residents and making them feel truly at home,” said Amanda Gill, Executive Director of Arbor Terrace Fulton. “We’re proud that we’re able to not only give them an exceptional place to live and thrive but also make it one that is sustainable and good for the environment.”

“Arbor Terrace Fulton's LEED certification demonstrates tremendous green building leadership,” said Mahesh Ramanujam, president and CEO, USGBC. “LEED was created to make the world a better place and revolutionize our buildings and communities by providing everyone with access to healthy, green and high performing buildings. Arbor Terrace Fulton is a prime example of how the innovative work of project teams can create local solutions that contribute to making a global difference.”

The community was also awarded innovation in design, solid waste management, and public education, as well as indoor environmental quality and sustainable material selection and sourcing. Designed with the environment in mind from the beginning, the building was developed to be highly efficient, sustainable, and responsible everywhere it could possibly be. It has saved 784,800 gallons of water, 651,800 kilowatt-hours of energy, and 693 tons of waste since it opened in 2019.

Located at 11584 Scaggsville Road in Fulton, Arbor Terrace Fulton strives to meet all of the needs of the resident population, promote health and wellness, and encourage sustainability.
