Bob had worked on his book for over 15 years, and the result is a wonderful story, his unique memoir: A View Through a Hole in a Cardboard Box. It’s about Bob’s upbringing, his Bronx roots, and the many mischievous adventures he and his friends got into back then.
Community News Celebrations at Arbor Terrace Norwood!
We’ve enjoyed the end of spring and the start of summer! Check out some of the fun celebrations and events we put on over the last few months in our community. In May, we celebrated Mother’s Day! We had yummy snacks for everyone, and we showered all the mothers and mother figures in our lives with extra bundles of love and appreciation (which they clearly enjoyed judging by their smiling faces in the video below). We also honored and remembered all the veterans, who fought for our country, on Memorial Day. We had American flags for everyone in our community to show their support and gratitude. We even heard some profound stories from real-life veterans, who are now residents here in our community, about their beloved and courageous friends from the service. And we got to snag a picture of one of our very own heroes here. In June, we had a special celebration honoring all the fathers and father figures in our lives. Everyone had a blast mingling and enjoying each other’s company, with refreshing drinks and delicious food. And of course, with family being one of the most important things here at Arbor Terrace Norwood, we invited our residents’ families to join us! It was fun to see many generations sit and laugh together, sharing stories and meals with each other. During some of those warm summer evenings, we also got to take advantage of enjoying our newly manicured gardens with freshly-planted flower and plant beds in our open and airy courtyard. Oh, and don’t forget our creative projects this summer! We let our inner Picassos out when we brought out tape painting supplies, and residents got to let their creativity roam.
