Karen Emerson

Karen Emerson

Executive Director

Karen Emerson joined the Arbor Terrace of Knoxville team in March 2003 to work part-time in the Business Office. She has over 20 years of experience in the field of Business Management. Karen became the Executive Director in November 2015 and is a licensed Assisted Living Administrator. Her door is always open to assist residents, family members, and staff.

Ruthie Powers

Ruthie Powers

Assistant Director

Ruthie joined the Arbor Terrace of Knoxville team in November 2012 as a part-time Receptionist. In November 2015, Ruthie became our Business Office Manager. She is dedicated to providing residents and their families support in the sometimes confusing areas of accounting. Ruthie is a favorite with the residents as she always makes sure they have prizes for their many games of Bingo.

Tina Hyatt

Community Sales Director

Tina has a background in medical device sales but has been working in senior living for three years. She changed directions after being touched by the care and compassion her grandmother received while in a senior living community until the age of 99. After witnessing firsthand the benefits that a community provides, not only to the resident but also their family, Tina knew this would be the career for her. Tina has a son and moved from North Carolina to be closer to family.

Melody Scott

Melody Scott, RN-BC

Resident Care Director

Melody Scott joined the Arbor Terrace of Knoxville team in November, 2010 as Resident Care Director. She is a registered nurse, certified in psychiatric and mental health nursing. Melody has worked in psychiatric, geriatric and assisted living areas for 37 years. Melody has found her greatest satisfaction in caring for the elderly. She is happy to be a part of the Arbor Terrace family and working with the residents, families and staff.

Cindy Bayless

Cindy Bayless, LPN

Evergreen Memory Care Director

Cindy Bayless joined the Arbor Terrace of Knoxville team in October 2006 as the Evergreen Program Director. She is a Licensed Practical Nurse and is also a Certified Dementia Care Specialist and Training Coordinator. Cindy loves her job and feels blessed to have the opportunity to care for the residents and provide support for their families.

Erin Parten

Erin Parten

Engagement Director

Erin Parten joined the Arbor Terrace of Knoxville team in April 2003 as Assistant Activities Director. She became the Engagement Director in March 2008. Erin is a Recreation Therapist who has worked in activities since 1985. Due to her extensive experience, she brings energy and creativity for providing a high standard of engagement programming for our residents. Erin works hard to organize our Engagement Team which provides a variety of activities for all our residents.

Tabitha MacLellan-1

Tabitha MacLellan

Dining Director

Tabitha has worked at Arbor Terrace of Knoxville for over 22 years. She began her career as a resident assistant in memory care before making the move to a cook. In January of 2021, Tabitha completed an online culinary program and received her certification. She is the mother of two children, grandmother of four, and the mother of a sweet rescue pup named Boss.

Lucas Greer

Lucas Greer

Maintenance Director

Lucas Geer joined the Arbor Terrace of Knoxville team in November 2016 after relocating from Crossville, TN. Lucas enjoys being able to help the residents each day and takes pride in keeping our community well maintained.

Today we had a wonderful visit from Christian Academy of Knoxville sixth grade students. They joined our program with our music therapist Debbie. We sang songs and did some moves. Thank you for bringing so much fun to our residents and community.
