Executive Director
Linda Jones, RN, brings extensive nursing and senior living leadership experience to her role as executive director at The Lakeside at Amelia Island. She has served residents and families with The Arbor Company since 2013, moving into nursing and operational leadership before becoming an executive director in 2017, and she draws on her clinical background to focus on quality care and strong team relationships. Originally from Nashville, Tennessee, Linda and her husband have lived in Florida since 2013, enjoying the state's scenery and outdoor lifestyle. She is a wife, mother of five children, and grandmother to 11 grandchildren, and outside of work she enjoys traveling with her husband in their RV and spending time with their two dogs, Trooper and Sissy.
Director of Sales
Jen is a trusted resource, knowledgeable in the multifaceted aspects of senior living, who guides seniors and families with compassion as they navigate the journey through senior living. Prior to coming to The Lakeside at Amelia Island, Jen served as the Director of Sales for several senior living communities in Sarasota, FL. In addition, she has served the Senior Friendship Centers of Sarasota as an Americorps Vista volunteer and Senior Center Manager and has been a Meals on Wheels volunteer for many years. Jen’s expertise in senior living has helped hundreds of seniors and families find the perfect community in which they can flourish. She is devoted to making the lives of our seniors the best they can be.
Community Sales Director
Lisa Nichols brings a background in corporate training and senior living sales to her role as community sales director at The Lakeside at Amelia Island, part of The Arbor Company. She joined the community in 2024, following a previous role as director of sales for a senior living community in Palm Coast, Florida, where she developed a strong understanding of helping residents and their families navigate the transition to senior living. Before entering the industry, Lisa built a career as a corporate trainer, an experience that shaped her approach to connecting with people and guiding them through important decisions. She enjoys building relationships with residents, families and industry professionals, and takes pride in helping people find a community where they can thrive.
Maintenance Director
Justin Sloper joined The Lakeside at Amelia Island in 2019 after relocating from Seattle Washington. Justin’s experience as a Facilities Maintenance Operator is extensive. He has held numerous positions with Non-profit, and Senior Living Corporations. He is a skilled Carpenter, specializes in preventative maintenance, facilities management, and relationship management. His passion for people, especially the senior population make him a favorite among residents and staff. Justin has four children and five grandchildren. He is an avid fisherman, and enjoys family time.
Resident Relations Director
Marilyn Bailey brings years of hospitality and customer service experience to her role as engagement director at The Lakeside at Amelia Island. A Cape Town, South Africa, native, Bailey earned several Five Star Awards at The Ritz-Carlton, Amelia Island, including Employee of the Year in 2014. Since joining The Lakeside more than six years ago, she has served as concierge, director of resident relations, and lifestyle director, and she recently received The Arbor Company Excellence in Fitness and Wellness Award. Bailey shares her "Living Bolder, Not Older" attitude with residents every day.
Business Office Director
Nora Bequette brings more than a decade of senior living experience to her role as business office director at The Lakeside at Amelia Island. She has served as both an executive director and a business office director, with five years leading business office operations for senior living communities. Nora holds a Bachelor of Arts in Education and a Master of Business Administration. She began her career with The Arbor Company in 2015, serving through 2019, and returned in 2025 after gaining additional leadership experience as an executive director. A Florida resident since 1968, Nora has been married to her husband, Mike, for 30 years, and enjoys reading and spending time with Mike and their daughter, Christina.
Memory Care Director
Delesheia Jones brings dedication and compassion to her role as memory care director at The Lakeside at Amelia Island, where she has been part of the team since 2019. Over the years, Jones has built lasting relationships with residents and families, celebrating milestones and learning something new along the way. Her work in memory care has shown her that small moments often mean the most, whether that is a smile, a familiar song, or simply being present. Jones is grateful for the trust residents and families place in her and for the opportunity to serve with heart and purpose.
Resident Care Director
Craig Filaski brings extensive senior living experience to his role as resident care director at The Lakeside at Amelia Island. He is dedicated to delivering coordinated care, supporting clinical operations, and leading care teams to uphold quality, safety, and compassion. With expertise in resident wellness, staff development, regulatory compliance, and family engagement, Craig works to create an environment where residents receive personalized care while maintaining dignity and independence. Known for his collaborative leadership style, he works closely with caregivers, nursing staff, and community leadership to improve outcomes and foster a culture of excellence.
