This is a great time for a family visit or for a book club that is looking for a fun afternoon to spend together.

Enjoy the Greenbelt Farmers Market

Don’t miss fresh produce and delicious treats from local businesses at the Greenbelt Farmers Market. Open on Sundays from May until November, this market is sure to have a variety of local fruits and vegetables, as well as plenty of time to meet some of your neighbors. 

Annual Festivals

Lanham and the surrounding area boast many annual festivals throughout the year. For an early summer treat, be sure to check out the Greek Food Festival for a cultural—and delicious—way to spend a weekend. 

Catch a Game

In the summer, enjoy America’s pastime by catching a baseball game. The Bowie Baysox stadium is nearby and has excellent play in a laid-back and festive atmosphere. There are even special prices and events for seniors that sometimes include meals and entertainment.

The Lanham area offers an excellent senior center, supported by the park district. Check out the monthly events to find something you enjoy, and take advantage of being able to drop in for programs as well as fitness centers throughout the area.
