Happy Mardi Gras from us!
We made our own masks to wear to our big celebration where residents enjoyed all the Mardi Gras traditions. The party continued into the dining room with traditional New Orleans cuisine. How delicious!
Meet Sandy Sanders, our resident spotlight for this month!
Sandy is 84 years young. She is a former guidance counselor and business teacher in New York. Sandy is very involved and loves to keep busy with things she loves. She loves physical fitness, nutrition, traveling, theater, dancing, and all things to keep her youthful. Sandy is involved in a volunteer organization that donates money to children’s charities, The New Florida Follies. Our community took an outing to a performance and Sandy was flattered by the support and reaction of residents who attended her show.
We asked Sandy what her favorite thing about the Arbor at Delray community is. Sandy stated her favorite things are the exercise programs and the ability to socialize. She loves her apartment and especially how she decorated it! While she considered herself a workaholic and thought she would never enjoy retirement, she has learned to love it because she keeps herself very busy and involved.
