Never craving the spotlight or asking for attention, our dear Audrey was genuinely humble and kind. Audrey passed away in 2023, and it’s our desire to share the significant impact that her life had on Arbor Terrace Peachtree City during the seven years that she called our community home.

Audrey was well known and loved here. In fact, she was our librarian, keeping the library in perfect order. When you couldn’t find her in the library, you’d often see Audrey serving as a dedicated Resident Ambassador where she greeted new residents with a warm smile and made a difference in their lives by connecting them with friends to accompany them during meals and other activities in the community. Everyone could count on her to ensure no one felt alone when moving into the community.

Also, Audrey had a heart for giving back. She played a key role in our Thanksgiving food drive, where donations were sent to local food pantries. She always made sure that we gave at least two large boxes of canned food each year. Her passion for charity was always alive, as she was an educator, helping raise thousands of dollars for our local high school graduates every graduation season. And she didn’t stop there. Audrey took charge of school supply donations as well.

From volunteering her time in the library to giving back to those in need, Audrey never stopped lending a helping hand. When the pandemic hit, and many felt unsure and overwhelmed, Audrey spent her time passing out dailies and activity booklets on a daily basis. Not only that, but she supported Engagement by leading the Friday night Dotties Bingo. Audrey was always there to help. She even saw to it that everyone made it to community activities, especially happy hour, and she curated videos for Wine Down Wednesdays and Sunday Music Gospel Hour for all to enjoy.

It is no secret why Audrey earned a nickname as our “angel resident.” She truly had a servant’s heart that will be missed by all. From every good deed, helping hand, encouraging word and all of the time donated, we are certain that there is so much more that Audrey gave behind the scenes that we were never even aware of—all of this to make the lives of our residents better.  As we mourn her loss, we know that heaven has gained our angel Audrey.

To keep her memory alive at Arbor Terrace Peachtree City, we’re naming her favorite activities in her honor: Audrey’s Wine Down Wednesdays and Audrey’s Music Gospel Hour.

Rest in love, Audrey. Until we meet again.
