Assisted Living
My mother has lived at Arbor Terrace for over 2 years now. Initially it was a difficult transition for her but she has settled in well. Thanks to the Arbor Terrace programing/activity staff. They are amazing. They welcomed and encouraged her to participate in all the activities. They are caring, warm and hands on. Now she has friends and is very comfortable there. I highly recommend to anyone who is considering assisted living for their loved one.
My father's initial reluctance at moving out of his condo is a distant memory. Arbor Terrace has been a godsend in terms of giving him others to socialize with and giving us the peace of mind to know that he is in good hands when we are traveling. While every member of the staff we've come across has been friendly and helpful, Eva, a nurse in the Wellness Department, has been particularly so when helping my dad deal with various wound care issues resulting from outpatient surgery, so a special shout-out to her.
Absolutely gorgeous place- they treated us with such great respect and were so helpful when we needed last-minute housing for my dad. Jeff and his team were so caring and made us feel at ease. Arbor is GORGEOUS; the staff is friendly. My dad doesn’t need much assistance, but when he does, they come running. There is a lot of happiness and activities; the food is great, his room is nicer than my house (lol), it’s cheerful and doesn’t feel in ANY way like assisted living. I’m so incredibly relieved and indebted to this entire crew for giving my dad a safe and beautiful environment to call home.

Our mother moved to town knowing no one, and thanks to the phenomenal staff, she was quickly welcomed into the community. Arbor Terrace carefully evaluated her needs, placed her in the right program, and she has truly thrived. Three years later, she continues to receive exceptional mental and physical care in a spotless facility, supported by professionals who genuinely love her. She smiles every day, stays active, and feels completely at home. We couldn’t ask for a better living environment.
Such a caring & kind place for loved ones as they age & need help with memory & daily tasks. We are happy that we found Arbor Terrace for mom. Jeff Altschul handles everything that needs to get done and makes each family & resident feel welcome. His personality & professionalism make moving a loved one to assisted living so much easier.
I've been very impressed by the facility and staff at Arbor Terrace in Highland Park. They have all taken an active role in care for/with our family. The residents are friendly and welcoming. The building has all the amenities needed including a lovely view and a convenient location. Most importantly, the leadership team including Jocelyn have been trusted advisors through various care situations. Sylvia has also been heavily involved with our family and has brought a calm demeanor and educated experience to planning and transitions. People make the difference in these settings and I appreciate all of those who have been involved in care.
Memory Care
My mother has been in Evergreen section of Arbor Terrace and she is thriving. The care and attention she has received has been terrific. A special shoutout to Christine, the social director who keeps the residents busy all day. Mom is never in her room. Whether it’s IBeth or Chanel, Maya or any of the other very capable caregivers- I know my mom is in good hands.
My aunt has already moved into Arbor Terrace Highland Park. It's fabulous. They have a very small memory care, which is what I require for my aunt. It's very pleasant and it runs very well. I highly recommend it. I haven't found anything better than them. It's wonderful. … They have a bus, they go on drives, and they go to the botanical garden, even with the memory care, which is very hard. They take them out and they go to the senior centers and to concerts.
I am beyond impressed with Arbor Terrace Highland Park. The energy is upbeat. … My Mom moved in to Memory Care. She’s enjoying her life. I have piece of mind knowing she’s safe and happy.
