To celebrate Read a Book Month, Alex Raftakis read and reviewed the book, The 36-Hour Day, by Nancy Mace and Peter Rabins. Alex is the lead front desk concierge at Arbor Terrace Naperville. Her strong relationship with her grandparents and desire to enter a career that helped others influenced her towards the senior care industry. She came to Arbor soon after graduating from North Central College in 2018 with a degree in Sociology. Our Neighborhood Arbor Terrace Naperville Honored Heroes on Memorial Day
As a grateful nation saluted the men and women who gave their lives for our freedom, Arbor Terrace Naperville held an “Arbor 500” remote-control car race among residents, and the engagement team gave residents handmade poppies and notes in honor of Memorial Day. Other fun activities included word searches, puzzles, and snacks from the patriotically decorated cart.

Congratulations to Nikki, a licensed practical nurse (LPN) and Arbor’s Employee of the Month for August. She celebrates two years of nursing this October, and is proud to have spent the past eight months of her career at Arbor. Nikki makes senior living at Arbor Terrace Naperville an exceptional experience for every resident. We cherish Nikki’s can-do spirit and welcoming smile, and are proud to have her as part of our Arbor family.

Arbor’s Star of the Year award honors staff who show commitment, compassion, and a willingness to go above and beyond as part of their mission to improve the lives of our senior residents. Christine Wallen, Arbor Star of the Year 2018, has served the Arbor community since March 2018. We’re thrilled to have her commitment to senior living at Arbor Terrace Naperville. She is currently our Lead Dining Room Server. This very public role means she interacts with our residents daily, talking to them about their lives and their needs, and ensuring they eat quality, delicious food each and every day.
