Some stories sound too good to be true, and Debbie Allen's latest Golden Gang podcast episode is one of them. Years ago in South Florida, Debbie and her husband Pete became fast friends with neighbors Bert and Cookie, a lively couple their children adored.
One day, Cookie mentioned she used to write songs for Peter, Paul and Mary, and Debbie was certain she was joking. That changed when Cookie invited them to a concert, where they found themselves seated in the second row without paying a dime.

Midway through the show, the trio paused to dedicate "The Wedding Song" to Debbie and Pete, the very song played at their wedding. The evening ended backstage with hugs, handshakes, and signed tickets from the performers themselves.

In this heartfelt episode, Debbie also shares memories of scuba diving with Bert and Cookie and the lasting friendship that made that night possible. Tune in to the Golden Gang podcast from Arbor Terrace Citrus Park to hear Debbie tell the story in her own words.
