Being a birthday boy or birthday girl is special at the community of Arbor Terrace at Citrus Park.
On Sept. 25, a group of six residents celebrating another trip around the sun were treated to an upscale dining experience full of delectable food, special drinks and soothing jazz music.
As soon as Sue, Gwen, Richard, Elaine, Doug and Cliff entered the dining room, they were in awe of the beautiful ambience the staff had prepared just for them. There were fresh linens, expensive glassware, relaxing lighting and the most appetizing smells.
Once seated, Chef Moss served shrimp cocktails and special drinks, followed by an entrée of Steak Diane, homemade Dutch potatoes and roasted seasonal vegetables prepared in front of them at an action station. The guests of honor also were treated to an out-of-this world serving of Bananas Foster.
Engagement Director Morgan Menard explained that the community offers residents celebrating their birthdays this dining experience once per month. If the resident is married, the spouse also gets to enjoy the meal.
“Sometimes, if we have space, we also invite a resident or two who may be in need of a little pick-me-up,” she explained.
