Social Opportunities at Every Turn

Aging research agrees: Connected adults are healthy adults. Socialization with peers is even more important when living with a diagnosis of Alzheimer’s disease or another type of dementia. Our Bridges neighborhood allows your loved one to be themselves among their friends, participating in a variety of social events and programs designed with healthy socialization and cognitive exercise in mind. Isolation is a common coping mechanism for seniors living with early stage cognitive decline, but being alone only adds to how quickly the disease progresses. Your loved one will stay connected and find something in common with other Bridges neighbors. And, your loved one will always be an integral part of their Arbor Terrace home.

Everyone typically enjoys our group excursions to explore our local area, try out a new restaurant, or see a concert. Our Bridges neighborhood helps your loved one feel like themselves, while providing the support they need to pursue activities that interest them.

Our family searched and searched for a place our mother could call "home," a community where she receives the dementia care she needs from people who know and love her for who she is - Arbor Terrace's Evergreen "neighborhood' is that wonderful place. The leadership team is doing an excellent job training every employee in the GEMS Positive Approach to Care model, the facility is clean, bright, and beautiful, and the partnership with family has been outstanding. (And the food is really good, too!)

Love Arbor Terrace! My Mom has thrived at Arbor Terrace. She came there in a wheelchair and now we have to remind her to use her walker! The staff is kind and responsive to Mom’s needs and our requests. From helping us with long term care insurance forms to daily activities, they couldn’t be better.

The place is new, so all the employees are new to this location; and I can only hope they stay as loving and wonderful as they are now:) My momma is in her eighties and in memory care. It is run excellently. They made her feel very welcome and often they try to do things with the residents.
