"Mom's years-restated wish was to never be placed in assisted living... Within three days of entering at age 94, she improvised a monologue I recorded of her own enthusiastic rejoicing at finding such a wonderful place: clean, pretty, busy with things to do, a service staff who genuinely liked her, and gave her prompt and upbeat personal attention. She chided her own self for having had any reservations about assisted living... This team of people is remarkable... Rest easy. Mom/Dad/Auntie/Uncle will be fine here."
"My mother has been in several assisted living homes, which I found to be unacceptable... I recently got my mother into Arbor Terrace, with the help of Megan... I called today to talk to my mother and found out she was on a pontoon boat. REALLY???? I don't even get to do that! I have eaten in the dining room, which I found to be unbelievable, and their chef, DeShawn, is an extremely talented chef... I felt like I was eating at a five-star restaurant... I can't get a hold of her anymore. She's too busy!! ALIVE AGAIN!"
Arbor Terrace has been a wonderful place for my mother. The staff has been caring, compassionate, and attentive to her needs, and I truly appreciate the way they treat her with dignity and respect... I am especially grateful for the team members who take the time to communicate, answer questions, and help make sure my mother is safe and cared for.
Bridges
Anyone looking for a wonderful caring community for their loved one, who is in between personal care/assisted living and 'full-on' memory care, the 'bridges' community is ideal!! My only regret is that we didn't find Arbor Terrace 'bridges' community earlier!!
My sister has been a resident at Arbor Terrace since August in the Bridges. The care she gets has been outstanding: the staff that help with her medication, the dining room staff, housekeeping, and her aide Alisha.
Our mother became a resident of the Arbor Terrace 'Bridge' unit in June. She is adjusting well and we have been very satisfied with her care. The staff is incredibly gracious and caring, going out of their way whenever possible to make her feel welcomed and at home. They put much time and energy into the eclectic programs and celebrations offered throughout the week.
Memory Care
My father moved into the Evergreen memory care neighborhood of Arbor Terrace and we are exceptionally pleased with the experience... There were activities every day and my dad enjoyed the food, which is very important for health. I believe it helped extend his life as he was kept engaged and was around people... We got to know the staff and the residents. They got to know us too.
I'll never forget the day we admitted my sweet dad into the memory care unit at Arbor Terrace. Hardest thing I ever had to do... Lisa, the director of the unit, is the reason my family and I felt at peace having dad there. She was wonderful to work with as she had the same goals as we did: keep dad engaged, comfortable and safe. She treats the residents as family... Treating my dad with dignity and kindness until the very end was a gift I am forever grateful for.
My family recently moved my mom into the memory care wing at Arbor Terrace Exton. This is never an easy decision for any family, but it was the best choice to ensure my mom's safety while providing her with the care she deserves. My mom has adjusted well so far and seems to enjoy the activities, social interaction, and the dining options. The staff has been wonderful with her and very supportive and helpful to me and my family.
