Community News Eden Terrace of Spartanburg Honored Heroes on Memorial Day
As a grateful nation saluted the men and women who gave their lives for our freedom, Eden Terrace of Spartanburg decorated the Assisted Living and Evergreen memory care neighborhoods with American flags, and residents received poppies for their lapels, along with Memorial Day puzzles and copies of the poem “Freedom is Not Free” by Kelly Strong. Residents enjoyed a cookout-style lunch prior to an afternoon commemoration that featured a moment of silence and the playing of “Taps.”
Community News Miss SC Relives Glory in Christmas Parade
This holiday season, Martha Hines, a resident of Eden Terrace of Spartanburg, participated in a program call Second Wind Dreams, dedicated to helping seniors recreate special moments in their lives. In 1955, Martha was crowned Miss South Carolina. Sixty-two years later, she was treated once again like royalty in the Spartanburg Christmas Parade, riding in a classic car and wearing a tiara.
