Our Neighborhood la Orana! Polynesian-Themed Event for August
la Orana means “Hello!” in Tahitian culture and is used in conjunction with a lei for a traditional welcome. Arbor Terrace Peachtree City hosted a three-part Polynesian-themed event for August. First, we took residents on a simulated flight where they learned about aviation from our flight attendant expert. Then the residents “landed” in Oahu, Hawai’i for our very special Polynesian Luau Party.

A beautiful grand piano along with a big box of music sheets were donated to our community from resident Beverly Bryant. It was a gift that she gave us when she moved in. This resident spotlight was edited by residents Martha Hopler and Audrey Bennett. We are so happy to welcome our new Resident Care Director, Yoko Daniel! Yoko was born in Japan and raised in Columbus, Ohio, where her father worked for Honda. She has also lived in Catlettsburg, Kentucky; Tulsa, Oklahoma; League City, Texas and eventually landed in Peachtree City in May of last year.
