About Elizabeth Andropoli
“Liz” has been a senior-living professional for more than fifteen years, she entered the industry following a six year background of experience in health care. She has been Executive Director at Arbor Terrace for the past four years. Liz lives in Brooklyn with her three children who have obviously inherited her passion for servicing those advanced in age as her two eldest are also employed in the senior-living industry – her youngest, still in school, is interested in computers and finance. Liz has eclectic tastes in leisure activities: while she enjoys parasailing, zip lining and riding motorcycles, her favorite vacation is her annual summertime stay, with her family, at an Amish farm in Pennsylvania.
Director of Life Enrichment
About Lorraine Amendola
Lorraine has been a life-long resident of Closter, NJ. She earned a B.S. Degree in Therapeutic Recreation from St. Thomas Aquinas College and has put it to good use in the Senior Living Industry for the past twenty-four years, the last six years at Arbor Terrace. In her spare time she is a shopaholic and dotes on her Gordon setter, “Dakota.” She is our resident expert on all board games. So long as there's a beach and sunshine, Lorraine will vacation there. She even married her husband, in the Virgin Islands. The favorite part of her duties is sitting one-on-one with residents to learn about their families and life experiences.
Senior Care Counselor
About Matthew WernerMatthew Werner joins the Arbor Team with over eight years of experience in senior care. He is a Certified Assisted Living Administrator and has experience in skilled nursing, memory care, home care as well as assisted living. Helping seniors find solutions to their needs is his passion. Move In Coordinator
About Jose Molina
Jose started working at Arbor Terrace in 2009. He’s worn many hats over the years as a Concierge, Activities Assistant, Move-In Coordinator and most recently as a Marketing and Sales Assistant. He is married and lives in Teaneck with his wife Johanna and their son Alexander. Jose enjoys attending classic auto shows and has owned a succession of American Muscle cars. First a series of Chevy Camaros, and most recently several Dodge Challengers. He enjoys watching America’s past time- Baseball and vacationing in Florida.
About Donald Whiddon
Don has more than twenty years of experience as a chef, and during the past eleven years he has specialized in cooking for seniors. He lives in Dumont with his wife Laurel, a senior-care nurse. They have two grown children and one grandson, and Don can't wait until the boy is old enough to go fishing with him. Don likes playing Fantasy Baseball and enjoys watching college football. He lived in the south as a youngster, which probably accounts for him being a rabid Alabama Crimson Tide fan. Don is quite aware that he is cooking for a group made up, primarily, of former cooks! That's right, almost every woman he cooks for has been a cook for most of her life – and that's quite a challenge.
Business Office Manager
About Katie Pastor
Katie has been in the service industry for the past sixteen years, five years with Restaurant Associates as Conference Services Director, and the past eleven years at Arbor Terrace. When she began her duties at the business office there were only nine residents – there are now more than one hundred and fifty. Katie was born in Cuba, lived in Spain, and migrated to the US with her parents in 1977. She is married and lives in Ridgefield with her three children. Katie has inherited her passion for working with seniors from her mother who recently retired after thirty years of social work with the aged population. Katie now considers the residents of Arbor Terrace an extension of her family.
About Chris Blair
Chris was born in Jamaica. He currently lives in Lodi with his long-time companion, Michelle, who is a marketing consultant. He enjoys attending sporting events, particularly baseball and football, and plays basketball weekly at the YMCA. Chris’ cheery disposition makes him a favorite amongst our residents. Fortunately, his background as a residential and commercial subcontractor served to prepare him well for his work at Arbor Terrace the last 9 years.
