What's Happening at Arbor Terrace

Internaational Women's Day

Each year, one of our residents, Helene Marshall, leads a Women’s Month program that draws a rather large crowd. Residents and staff members rehearse monologues, written by Helene, from influential women throughout history. This year is our first year without her and her performances. Our wall consists of businesswomen, politicians, world leaders, leaders of movements, advocates, and rebels. To honor Helene, we have dedicated our Heroic Women’s Wall to the one who has inspired and encouraged us all.

A visit from Thomas Monroe

Arbor Terrace wants to thank Thomas Monroe for coming to our community. Our residents were thrilled to be a part of an informative lecture on Englewood’s Black History and how he is keeping it alive to this day. Thomas Monroe is a member of the city of Englewood Historic Preservation Society Advisory Committee and Englewood Historic Society. Monroe has been recognized with numerous awards, including a Civil Rights Award from Bergen Freeholders.
