Edwin Funes of The Arbor Company was recently awarded with the Argentum Senior Living Community Leadership Award at the 2023 Argentum Senior Living Executive Conference in New Orleans, Louisiana.

An inspirational servant leader, Edwin Funes was recognized for his work as the executive director of Arbor Terrace Fairfax in Fairfax, VA. In the community, Edwin worked to unite the staff to provide the best memory care possible. Since receiving this honor, Edwin has been promoted to Regional Director of Resident Care, a reflection of his leadership.
Edwin was a calm, comforting force in the community. He constantly made families feel at ease, and impacted the lives of others. The residents, their families, and his staff love Edwin and the way he leads with care and compassion. Edwin is described as a young leader with an “old soul” whose wisdom and experience for senior care far exceeds his age.
