As you may have heard, the FDA has approved two different vaccines to prevent COVID-19, and as of Dec. 28, more than 2 million Americans have received their first dose, according to the CDC.

Vaccinating older adults is a priority for the CDC; health care workers and people 65 and older are in the first group of Americans to receive the vaccines.

Residents of The Arbor Company communities already have or will soon have the opportunity to receive the immunizations. That includes new residents, who will get a priority spot before moving in, provided that the move-in occurs prior to our assigned clinic dates.

Moving into a senior living community will likely help you to receive the vaccine sooner than if you remain at home. And by moving into an Arbor Company community, you will receive other benefits of senior community living, such as socialization, engagement, and top-notch dining.

In addition, you can feel more secure in knowing that Arbor Community communities follow the strictest sanitation guidelines, including the use of high-tech electrostatic sprayers.

We are hopeful that the vaccine will help life return to normal around the country.
